Firemen sift through the wreckage of the home of Ulster Unionist Senator Jack Barnhill following an Official IRA bomb attack. Senator Barnhill was fatally shot when he answered the doorbell of his home near the Tyrone-Donegal border with the Rep of Ireland. The Official IRA subsequently claimed that it had not been their intention to kill Barnhill but he grappled with the men who had come to plant the bomb. 197112120555b. 555/71, linenhall.
