George Hyde, 19 years, UFF / UVF connections, from Portadown, Co Down, who was found dead in his cell in Long Kesh Internmant Camp, near Lisburn, N Ireland, 2th December 1973. His compound for loyalist inmates was locked by warders at 9 pm the previous evening. He was found dead from serious head injuries by warders at 3 am the following morning. There was speculation that he was a police informer and about to name accomplices. Both the UDA and UVF were believed to have been been involved in Hyde's murder. 197312260778.<br />
