He is accompanied by his German-born wife, Doris. 197402180130a. Also in the photo is Rev Robert Bradford, who was standing in the South Belfast seat. Both went on to win their seats. Bradford who was re-elected in a subsequent general election was shot dead in a local community centre by the Provisional IRA in November 1981.<br />
