People's Democracy march sets off 19th November 1972 from the Whiterock Road in West Belfast with the intention of marching to the City Centre. However police and soldiers enforced a N Ireland Government ban on the parade reaching the city centre. This resulted in scuffles, one arrest and one rubber bullet being fired.
