James McGrillen aka Grizzle McGrillen, Provisional IRA activist, Ballymurphy, Belfast, N Ireland, 24 years, married, who was shot dead 15th February 1976 by British soldiers, following his gun attack in the Highfield Estate in which two Protestant teenagers were wounded. A youth and a girl accompanying McGrillen were sentenced to 14 and 7 years on chaarges of unlawful wounding. McGrillen was described by republican sources as a second lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion of the IRA's Belfast Brigade. 197602150096<br />
