Women from the largely Republican Twinbrook housing estate in West Belfast, N Ireland, block the road to stop youths hijacking and burning vehicles in an outbreak of violence following the deaths of three children from the Maguire Family the previous day, 10th August 1976. They died when hit by a car, driven by a member of the Provisional IRA, which went out of control as it was being pursued by a British Army mobile patrol. The deaths of the three children led to the formation of the Peace People. 197608110355<br />
