RUC Guard of Honour for murdered colleague, Sgt Patrick Maxwell, as his coffin, carried by colleagues emerges from St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Dungannon, Co Tyrone, N Ireland. Sgt Maxwell, 36 years, married with 5 children, was one of two RUC officers murdered by the Provisional IRA in an ambush near Pomeroy, also Co Tyrone. The dead & injured police officers were on a Good Samaritan call delivering a message to a man advising him that his sister had died in the Rep of Ireland. It transpired that the message passed on by the Rep of Ireland police was false.
