The Church of Ireland Bishop of Clogher, Dr R W Heavener, followed by the local clergyman, Rev T J Gray, head the funeral cortege of Senator Billy Fox, 35 years, Protestant, Fine Gael politician, Co Monaghan, Rep of Ireland, 14th March 1974 as it arrives Aughamullen Parish Church, Castleblaney. Fox was previously a TD (Irish MP).  He was visiting the home near Clones of his fiancee, Marjorie Coulson, which unknown to him had been taken over by thirteen armed paramilitaries. He ran from the scene but was followed and shot dead in a nearby field.
