Assassination of Senator Billy Fox, 35 years, Protestant, Fine Gael politician, Co Monaghan, Rep of Ireland, 12th March 1974. He was previously a TD (Irish MP).  Fox was visiting the home near Clones of his fiancee which unknown to him had been taken over by thirteen armed paramilitaries. He ran from the scene but was followed and shot dead in a nearby field. Irish police forensics officer closely examines a car at the scene.
