Gerard Conlon, one of the Guildford Four, pictured at the grave of his father, Guiseppe Conlon, in Milltown Cemetery, Belfast,  N Ireland, 30th January 2005. Gerard himself was to die less than 10 years later in June 2014 following an illness.  Giuseppe Conlon died in Wormwood Scrubs prison on 23rd January 1980, the same day that the UK Home Secretary, William Whitelaw, had decided to grant him parole. He had been jailed for the alleged possession of explosives. The trial of all the defendents was highlighted in the 1993 Oscar-nominated film In The Name Of The Father, starring Daniel Day-Lewis. 200501300001<br />
